Tourisme Amiante - Open mine tour

Location: Thetford Mines

Discover one of the biggest open-pit mines in Québec. On the program: a 354-m (1,168-ft.) descent down a shaft. Also visit the Parc thématique Jean-Dupéré, a mining theme park where you'll climb aboard a 5.5-m (18-ft.) shovel, a 100-ton truck and a driller. The tour lasts approximately two hours. Reservations required.
