This route is part of the Sentier maritime du Saint-Laurent (St. Lawrence water trail), a navigable waterway designed for small shallow-draft watercraft, especially the sea kayak. This network boasts boat launch ramps, shelters, rest areas, lodging and food services, as well as primitive and commercial campgrounds.
