The Eastern Townships

numerous bodies of water in the region definitely add to the
holiday feeling that reigns in the Eastern Townships. Lac
Saint-François (in the Parc national de Frontenac) is one of
the largest bodies of water in Québec. Parc national de la
Yamaska boasts a lake surrounded by forests and plains. The
magnificent Lake Memphremagog, which extends into the United
States, can be explored on a cruise. In the winter, the
number of waterways in the Eastern Townships makes it easy

Grandes-Fourches and La Cantonnière, that crisscross this
countryside full of valleys. For those who love hiking,
endless, new challenges await along the 160 km (100 mi.) of
trails of the Sentiers de l'Estrie.

This forest hiking trail,
over 150 km (93 mi.) in length, passes through the valleys
and mountains of the Eastern Townships and crosses over the
nicest summit of the Appalachian mountains. Members enjoy
about a hundred activities free of charge, every weekend and
