Discover Saguenay
Here is a region so vast that
people call it "the Kingdom"! With a river so wide it could
be a lake, a lake so immense it could be an inland sea, and
a majestic
fjord, the Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean region abounds in
attractions and breathtaking panoramic views. A wide range
of summer and winter activities awaits you: cruises, whale-
and bird-watching, kayaking, rafting, hiking, cycling,
snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ATVing, dogsledding, ice fishing,
cross-country skiing… just to name a few! Its dynamic towns
are home to some 300,000 exceedingly friendly residents.
The Saguenay-St.
Lawrence Marine Park is the first park in Québec to protect
and promote an exclusively marine environment. With a
surface area of 1,138 km2 (439 sq. mi.), this
vast territory conceals many treasures and mysteries. Learn
about them by visiting one of the Discovery Network's
interpretation sites, which shine a spotlight on this unique
natural and cultural heritage
