Art is all around at the Val-d'Or tourist information office. Admire the massive work created by a Cree artist: a soapstone sculpture weighing more than 2,000 kg (4,400 lb.). Entitled Mère Nature [Mother Nature], it's a symbol of the friendship that exists between the Cree people and the residents of Val-d'Or. Our warm, courteous staff will recommend all kinds of activities to do in the region and will be happy to help you plan your stay, from suggesting itineraries to finding accommodations. We also offer you the use of a computer and free wireless Internet access. Gift shop on site.
