Take a revitalizing plunge into the great outdoors: head for magnificent Gatineau Park, 363 km2 (141 sq. mi.) of glorious nature in the Outaouais region. Considered one of North America’s greatest networks of ski trails, the park is sheer paradise for cross-country ski enthusiasts, with more than 200 km (124 mi.) of trails kept meticulously groomed with the latest technology. The world-renowned park is also the official site of the Gatineau Loppet the largest international cross-country skiing competition in Canada.
The trails, all of which are graded and marked according to their level of difficulty, allow skiers to discover the park’s forests, valleys and rivers. Whether your preference is for classic or ski skating, satisfaction is guaranteed! As for rest stops and refreshments, the circuit offers eight heated shelters, while a ski patrol ensures skier safety.
