This park, located near the Trois-Pistoles dock, pays homage to the Basque whalers who hunted in this section of the St. Lawrence River. Several years of research and archeological digs have enabled the development of a permanent exhibition that tells their story. The building, reminiscent of a whale cresting the water, was honoured by the Ordre des architectes du Québec (Québec order of architects) and received the Governor General's Award.
