Erected near the site where Dollard des Ormeaux and his companions battled the Iroquois, this generating station is the most powerful of those along the Ottawa River. During the guided tour, you'll discover the interior of a turbine-generator unit and be impressed by the scope of the equipment. Then, you'll head out onto the power plant's roof to admire the view of the river. Bordering the power plant, Carillon municipal park is a haven for nature and history buffs. Playground and picnic area, rustic camping and the possibility of visiting a lock. A very special outing!
