Québec: an angler's paradise
Bait your hook and reel them in!
With more than a million lakes and thousands of rivers within its borders, Québec is undoubtedly a much-favoured habitat for quite a diverse range of fish species. Anglers will be amazed to find plentiful stocks of high-grade-flesh Atlantic salmon, brook trout, northern and walleyed pike, and lake and Arctic char.
Québec’s pride in its abundant plant and animal life has resulted in the creation of a network of parks and protected areas, in which natural habitats can be maintained and various species managed >>>
A firey autumn
A blazing symphony of colours
From mid-September to mid-October each year, Québec’s natural scenery explodes in a riot of flaming colours, pure, wholesome flavours and heightened scents. The hardwood forests of the Laurentians and the Appalachians exhibit a rich panoply of hues that reach the peak of their splendour in mid-October.
This blazing symphony of colours can be admired throughout the season from a chairlift or a panoramic gondola lift, available at any of the various ski mountains in Québec that contend with each >>>
Frequent - flying geese!
A unique show, a feast of nature!
Twice a year, hundreds of thousands of snow geese touch down on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.

Parks that take you back to nature
Québec’s remarkable ecosystems
From Abitibi-Temiscamingue to the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula, Québec has no less than 28 nature reserves. Known for their exceptionally rich flora and fauna, Québec's national parks delight visitors in search of adventure or serenity. A number of these parks have an outstanding reputation, including l'Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park in the Gaspésie, nesting ground to an >>>
Cycling at the head of the pack
Still as popular as ever
With 750 bicycles per 1000 inhabitants, Québec is the frontrunner among the countries where cycling is the most popular. This remarkable fact is based largely on the Route verte, the longest bicycle route in North America, which will include close to 4300 km once it is completed, and the Tour de l’île de Montréal, an essential rendezvous for urban circuit enthusiasts.
In the tradition of the world’s leading bikeways, the Route verte currently covers over 4000 km. Accessible to all, it now passes through no fewer than 16 regions of Québec, in both natural and >>>
