Québec City’s historic district
Using Google’s advanced Street View technology, with its 360° imagery and 3D models, the
World Wonders Project spotlights the wonders of the modern and ancient world.
Three sites have been identified in Canada, including one in Québec: Québec City’s historic district. Photos, videos and a description highlight this gem recognized by UNESCO, alongside the ruins of Pompeii and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial.
Those in charge of this project aspire to virtually preserve world heritage. Not only is this tool highly appreciated by globe-trotting Web surfers, but it is also used in schools for teaching purposes.
