Extraordinary winter trails

For many, winter offers an opportunity to experience something different, like ice skating in the woods. Québec becomes a vast sparkling white land where skating and sliding in all their forms are king...

The Sentier glacé
Magog (Eastern Townships)
The Parc de la Baie-de-Magog boasts an ice path built on land along the shores of Lake Memphremagog. Stretching over 2.5 km (1.5 mi.), the lit path has a chalet at each end. The park is known for the quality of its ice surface and its exceptional view.

Lac-des-Nations ice path

Celebrate winter with family or friends on the lit ice path at Lac-des-Nations, in Sherbrooke. Enjoy a 1.3-km (0.8-mi.) ice path for skating and a 3.5-km (2.17-mi.) cleared walking trail. Make the most of winter!

Skating on Rivière l'assomption

This is Québec's longest skating rink. Nine kilometres of enchanting scenery on Québec’s longest groomed river with stretches of frozen iceways to delight skaters of all ages.  Festi-Glace, a winter festival that is unique not only in Québec, but in Canada too, is a popular event you won’t want to miss! Throughout the festivities, people from nearby towns put on their tuques and skates to join in the fun! For five days, both organizers and participants create a wonderful atmosphere on Rivière Assomption that is sure to please families, outdoor enthusiasts and sports amateurs alike.
