Festival western de Saint-Tite: Don’t miss it!

Saint-Tite Western Festival, © Mario LabontéEvery year, for close to 50 years, more than half a million rodeo and country-and-western enthusiasts have converged on a small town of barely 4,000 residents to celebrate the cowboy way and country music. Touted as “the biggest Western attraction in Eastern Canada,” the Festival western de Saint-Tite has garnered recognition since 1999 for its outstanding rodeo events, earning the International Professional Rodeo Association’s award for Best Outdoor Rodeo in North America.

Take part in 10 days of intense festivities and learn what being a cowboy really means. Enjoy the feel of an authentic Far West town, thanks to the residents of Saint-Tite, who take the opportunity to decorate their homes and businesses. Take in riding, timed and agility events, concerts and country dancing shows, and tasty local cuisine.

Daily guided tours are available for anyone interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes at a rodeo. The Festival western de Saint-Tite will be in full swing from September 5 to 14, 2014. Don’t miss it!
