The biggest winter carnival in the world is back
The snow capital of the world, Québec City is once again reviving a tradition that dates back to the early days of New France: the Carnival.
From one winter to the next, the Carnival's program keeps improving. Over the years, the winter sports that are so popular during the event have been joined by other activities inspired by the Québec way of life from days past, such as ice canoe and dogsledding races.
Today, the Québec Carnival
is the biggest winter carnival in the world, and it is ranked third among the planet's great carnivals, coming close on the heels of the famed Rio and New Orleans extravaganzas.
Snow baths, parades, slides, giant inflatable figures, shows, snow sculptures, sleigh rides, the ice palace and skating are just some of the activities and attractions in store for you at the Québec Winter Carnival.
From January 31 to February 16, 2014, Québec's capital will pulsate to the Carnival's beat.
Have an ice time!
