What ATV show!

With close to 300,000 enthusiasts in Quebec, excursions in a “quad,” or all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is surely one of the most popular activities with nature lovers and outdoor buffs. And with so many wonderful groomed trails for use year-round, there is no shortage of things to see and travel packages from which to choose.

The Appalachians... the Canadian Shield... so many vast spaces to conquer! It’s easy to do with an ATV because the network of trails extends for nearly 17,000 kilometres. More than a quarter of them are maintained throughout the year by the Fédération québécoise des clubs quads.

Taking nature by storm

Everyone knows: when you talk about the great outdoors, you’re talking about the Laurentians. Mont-Tremblant invites you aboard an ATV to admire the changing landscapes as winter approaches. The pure, cool air of the mountains will add to the sensation, whether you’re looking for tranquility or thrills.

A word to our European friends: Safari Nordik Aventure specializes in helping visitors discover the region, and does so all year long! You will trek through marshlands and rocky slopes, cross wooden bridges and the first snowbanks... Whether you choose an excursion of 10 or 1,000 kilometres, the experience will bring out your adventurous side.

Exploring the past

Another very special experience awaits in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jeanregion: Aventure sur la route des fourrures! The "fur trade route" first used by European coureurs des bois for trading with Native Indians was the inspiration for a tour which covers a variety of historical topics: the fur trade, Native traditions and customs, and the colonization period. Between the Saguenay River and Hudson Bay, the land teems with history. Track it down!

Another crusade

Meanwhile, in Quebec City, SM Sport invites you follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones. This five-day adventure will take you to the outfitters and nature preserves of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Overall, it involves 570 kilometres and flora and fauna that will leave a lasting impression.
