Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site of Canada

Québec City (Limoilou)
Region:
On his second voyage in 1535-1536, Jacques Cartier sailed up the St. Lawrence River with his three ships. Surprised by the rigours of winter, he was forced to spend the cold season on the bank of the St. Charles River where today, Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site of Canada is located. You will learn about the voyages of the famous navigator, his encounter with the Amerindian people, and the important role played by the Jesuit missionaries, established at the same place in 1625. ©Parks CanadaVideo
