Île Saint-Bernard (Refuge faunique Marguerite-D'Youville)

Between Lac Saint-Louis and Rivière Châteauguay, Île Saint-Bernard unveils all its natural and cultural riches. The former Châteauguay seigneury, the island has preserved various historical buildings, including an old mill dating back to 1686 that can be visited on Sundays in summer and where a film on the island's secrets is shown. The major attraction is no doubt the Marguerite-D'Youville wildlife sanctuary: eight kilometres of paths crisscrossing different ecosystems, with an exceptional array of animals and plants. For an unforgettable visit, take a trip with a naturalist guide on a trailer floating down the river.
