Around the water's edge, various vegetation communities harbour abundant and diverse flora and fauna. In the spring and fall, more than 16 species of duck steal the show. Free guided hikes are available and a 4-km (2.5-mi.) trail surrounds the pond. A 235-m (256-yd.) bridge overlooking aquatic grasses leads to an observation tower. |
