The Maison J.-A. Vachon in Sainte-Marie de Beauce is less than 20 minutes from the Québec City bridges by Autoroute 73 South. It is the ancestral home of the founders of Vachon cakes. Accompanied by a guide, you will learn how a family of humble origin prospered through dedication and ingenuity. The house, listed as an historic monument, takes you back to the days when Rose-Anna prepared dough gods on the wood stove. The tour ends with a video about the family and the cake factory, plus two free cakes per visitor.
