The museum recounts the story of the Augustine Congregation from France who founded the very first hospital in North America in 1639. The collection, acquired over three centuries, consists of art objects and artefacts reflecting the people and customs of the time : furniture, paintings, pewterware, silver and gold plate, waxwork, as well as a special section displaying medical instruments from the 17th century to the present. Guided tours of the vaults built in 1695 and the church built in 1800.
