Location: Québec City
(Old Québec - Old Port district)
What is now known as Chevalier House, an integral part of historical Place-Royale, was restored in 1959 and is in fact three separate houses: Chesnay House, Frérot House and Chevalier House. Together, they represent an important example of Québec's architectural heritage due to the presence of fire walls, high chimneys and vaulted cellars. Admire the magnificent 18th and 19th century decors in the exhibition of Past Surroundings. Moreover, the Centre d'interprétation de la vie urbaine de Québec presents the exhibition Vieux-Québec: Secrets and Anecdotes, along with audio-tours.
