This church, whose construction began in 1881 and came to an end in 1884, was consecrated by Mgr Fabre on August 25, 1885. Architects Bourgeault and Leprohon of Montréal prepared the plans, and contractors O. Martineau and Ls J. Fauteux of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac oversaw its construction.
