St. Mark's Chapel at Bishop's University

Sherbrooke (Borough of Lennoxville)
Region:
The campus at Bishop's university houses a beautiful little church called St Mark's. One of the first buildings to be built and maybe the most important one at the time, it is a remarkable piece of architecture which reminds us of the old churches in England. The chapel is one of the most unique buildings in Canada because of its woodwork and its stained glass windows. In fact, it was declared a significant cultural site by the Québec government. Formerly a strictly Anglican church, it now serves students from all denominations of the Christian faith.
