Lachine Canal multipurpose path - Pôle des Rapides Area

Montréal (Pôle des Rapides)

Built in 1825 to bypass the Lachine rapids, the Lachine canal extends over 14.5 km (9 mi.), between the Old Port and Lac Saint-Louis. More than a simple interior waterway, the canal is also an urban park. See downtown Montréal from a different angle, either on foot, by bike or by boat.
