The Montréal Museum of Fine Arts This first major international exhibition will show how John William Waterhouse's (1849-1917) paintings reflect his engagement with contemporary issues like medievalism, classical heritage, spiritualism and the New Woman. The exhibition will feature some eighty works, including some of his spectacular paintings and works on paper, several of them never or scarcely exhibition since Waterhouse's death. |
