Talk to the animals

Wildlife observation is a “natural” in Québec, with its rich assortment of creatures great and small, from whales and seals to deer, bears, beavers, migratory birds and more. There are also aquariums, zoos and wildlife parks galore, not to mention the farms and breeders that open their doors to animal lovers.

Major attractions

Educational, fascinating or just plain fun, Québec’s museums, economuseums, interpretation centres and historic sites offer enriching enjoyment for the whole family. Add to this the many theme parks, forts, theatres and industrial tours—ranging from cheese factories to hydro-electric power stations—and you’re in for a real lark!

Bucolic rambles

What better way to vary your itinerary than to hop aboard a boat, train or even a cable car? Take a guided tour by bus or horse-drawn carriage, swap the highway for the ferry or let a chairlift waft you skywards. Whichever way you go, you’re in for an eyeful!

DID YOU KNOW?
Located at the confluence of the Saguenay and St. Lawrence rivers, the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park is the first in Québec to exclusively protect and promote a marine environment. Various guided programs are available at Pointe-Noire, Cap-de-Bon-Désir and Les Escoumins, where naturalists interpret the rich marine fauna and flora.
