And then there's nature... it's never far away!

Destination: unforgettable places!

Let's play outside!

Parc national de l'Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé, GaspésieIf you're looking for outdoor activities, you'll find an abundance of choice in our large natural parks. They are the ideal spots for engaging in a variety of activities, from picnic outings to canoeing expeditions, not to mention hiking, cycling or cross-country skiing in the winter. These parks are home to numerous impressive attractions, such as the famous Percé rock, the splendid Saguenay Fjord, the age-old fossils at the Parc national de Miguasha, in the Gaspésie, and the strangely shaped rocks of the islands of the  Mingan Archipelago.

Festival central!

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, MontérégieQuébec is known for its countless festivals, many of which enjoy an international reputation, where huge crowds gather amid a joyous atmosphere. Hot air balloons, fireworks, outdoor concerts, comedy, the fall colours...

Dive right in!

PhotoEach summer, the superb beaches of the Baie des Chaleurs (Gaspésie) and the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, become the hot spot for families. In every region, our many lakes and rivers promise hours of fun for kids of all ages.

Animal adventures!

Photo. Observing wildlife is a natural activity in Québec, because it's so rich and varied here! In the mighty St. Lawrence, you can gaze upon the giants of the seas: whales. Throughout Québec, the birds put on quite a show. The thousands of Northern gannet on Île Bonaventure, in the Gaspésie, and the massive migrations of snow geese are among the ornithological must-sees. Certain farms open their doors to visitors, much to the delight of small children. And don't miss our impressive zoos and aquariums—at some of them, you can observe animals in the heart of nature!

Winter wonders!

Photo. Québec in the winter means snow, snow and more snow! Skating, ice fishing, dogsledding adventures, sleeping in an igloo... there's just so much for the young and the young-at-heart to do. The Laurentides, Eastern Townships, and Lanaudière regions, as well as the Québec City area, boast major tobogganing and tubing centres in the winter, with mechanical lifts and breathtaking descents! And many resorts offer the perfect setting for an unforgettable skiing holiday.
