The rinse cycle

The rinse cycle

More spectacular than dangerous capsizing is a calculated risk. Now is the time to remember all the safety tips given earlier, first, swim towards the raft unless otherwise instructed. Trained kayakists always follow the rafts and will help you back on the raft but are also equipped to pick you up in an emergency. Keep calm, your life jacket does a good job. Guides are veritable mother hens and always keep a close eye on all rafters. In rafting terms a clean rubber means that all have fallen, should the guide remain aboard you have hit a perfect score. A day without a good soak is not as much fun.
