With the train, not only can you travel to Montréal and Québec City, but also to cities such as Jonquière (Saguenay) and Gaspé. The trip to the Gaspésie region, for example, is done overnight, an advantage given the length of the journey.

A tourist train beckons you to discover—from May to October—the areas surrounding Mont Orford, Magog (a popular resort region) and Sherbrooke (Eastern Townships): the Orford Express. What’s more, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) offers up a dozen day trips by rail to various locations in the metropolitan region (Laval, Laurentides, Montérégie).
