With 80 cultural venues, including 30 theatres and some 40 festivals, the Quartier des spectacles is quickly emerging as the spot to feel the pulse of Montréal's cultural heartbeat. Even the most insatiable culture enthusiast will be satisfied, as there's something for all tastes with offerings ranging from classic to the more contemporary: arts and technology, cinema, theatre, dance, visual arts, music, opera, comedy, improv, design. In addition to touring exhibits and shows, there is a multitude of home-grown festivals including the Festival international de jazz de Montréal, the Just For Laughs Festival and Les FrancoFolies de Montréal.
