Since July 26, 2003, a new wreck has been resting not far from the Empress of Ireland, off the coast of Sainte-Luce. The Nipigon, a former anti-submarine destroyer, now lies at a depth of 33.5 m (110 ft.). The ship was carefully prepared by the RAEQ for shipwreck divers and apprentice divers to explore.
