The creation of the Opéra de Québec in 1984 marked a watershed in the cultural life of Québec City. From its earliest days, the Opéra de Québec has tirelessly promoted the talents of young singers from Québec and Canada, giving them a chance to work with veteran performers from Canada and abroad and thus enjoy their first truly professional experience.
