Directed by organist and harpsichordist Christopher Jackson, the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal (SMAM) is composed of 13 to 18 singers as well as instrumentalists who play period instruments. The ensemble is known for its remarkable clarity and purity of voice, not to mention its nuanced interpretations and emotional intensity.
