The tourist welcome office is located in the Rivière Lacolle "Blockhaus," a fortified structure built in 1781 whose name means "log home that blocks the way." Numerous services are available at the office and knowledgeable guides will be happy to help you. Enjoy a guided tour of the Blockhaus. This site is also a roadside rest area for motorists and for cyclists travelling the Route Verte bikeway network, and is equipped with picnic tables for your convenience.
