A canoe race where the best teams in Quebec face off against one another on the St. Lawrence River, as well as against teams from Calgary, Chicago and France, braving the currents, tides, ice floes and frazil. The first race on the Quebec ice canoe circuit (Circuit quebecois du canot à glace/CQCG), it spans 8 km between Isle-aux-Coudres and the North Shore. Qualifications held in Baie-Saint-Paul Friday night. This event is the prologue to the famous Quebec City Winter Carnival Race.
