Québec boasts an impressive network of bicycle paths, the Route Verte, totalling more than 4,500 km (2,795 mi.). Thanks to this network, you can cycle across most of Québec’s regions and stay in accommodations located right by the paths. Base your bike touring itinerary on this network—the only one of its kind in North America—and you’ll find yourself travelling scenic routes teeming with interesting attractions. Looking to join a group of cyclists? Want your bags transported for you? Many tourist organizations offer group tours. What’s more, each summer Vélo Québec organizes the Grand Tour, a 700 km (435 mi.) ride featuring a variety of vistas. Some 2,000 cyclists take part in the friendly event.
