    Artist: Collective exhibition
    Often perceived as a popular or minor art form, comics are nonetheless a treasure trove of creativity and emotion. For its inauguration, the Maison de la bande dessinée will be showcasing Quebecois production in two sections: Les coulisses de la création, an in-depth look at the creative process, and Naissance et évolution, a captivating overview of the history of the 9th Art, as well as an exhibition devoted to Quebec caricature, the precursor of comics.

    Artist: Collective exhibition
    Present in Quebec since the 1940s, science fiction comics have taken many forms: from realism to pastiche, from dystopian tales to space opera. Always rooted in genre literature, it has tirelessly nourished the 9th Art. Since 2000, over a hundred "SF" albums and graphic novels have been published. Rather than a historical overview, this exhibition offers a selection of works to whet the appetite for further exploration of the genre.
