Whales are huge! They can weigh up to 135,000 kg.

Québec is one of the few places in the world with such a wide variety of cetaceans: no fewer than 13 species. Sometimes you can hear them breathing mere metres away—it’s an exhilarating experience that gives you a true sense of their size, strength and magnificence.

Seasons

Whales can be spotted from May to October when they are attracted to the St. Lawrence River’s wealth of edibles and impressive depth.
