The river is so deep that whales come right up to the river bank. You can watch them from the shores of the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, Les Bergeronnes, Les Escoumins, La pointe de l’Islet in Tadoussac and along the Whale Route (Route des Baleines).
