    From June 23, 2026 Take a captivating tour and meet an exceptional man, guided by a vision: to dream and shape a region. Discover the destiny and legacy of this fascinating man, nicknamed "the king of pulp". Artefacts, documents and immersive projections retrace the path of this visionary man, whose imprint can still be seen today in many parts of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.
  • Arthur Villeneuve – Prophète en son pays
    New permanent exhibition presented at the mezzanine of the Espace Arthur-Villeneuve. Far from the image of the misunderstood artist mocked by his own people or the ambassador celebrated in the metropolis, this new exhibition reveals Villeneuve as a quiet force in the Saguenay cultural landscape.

    This interactive exhibition traces the career of painter Arthur Villeneuve, who carved out an important place for himself on the Quebec art scene thanks to his raw talent and astonishing imagination.

Temporary exhibitions

  • Until September 27, 2026: Une aventure industrielle
    The Pulperie site tells the story of a place shaped by the river, mills, railroads and workers' skills. The exhibition reveals how this pulp production complex transformed the landscape and left a lasting mark on its era.
  • Until January 31, 2027: René et Lévesque - Comment René est-il devenu Lévesque?
    The exhibition highlights the milestones in René Lévesque's life, right up to his death in 1987, through numerous archival documents and previously unseen objects, some of which belonged to him. "An exhibition conceived by the Musée de la civilisation in collaboration with the Fondation René-Lévesque and with the financial participation of the Gouvernement du Québec."
  • Until September 27, 2026: À main levée : tableaux et dessins d’Arthur Villeneuve
    Arthur Villeneuve was a painstaking and meticulous artist, describing his subjects with a confident gesture. His instantly recognizable style is revealed in a remarkable selection of painted and drawn works from the Jean-Louis Gagnon collection, acquired by La Pulperie in 2016.
  • October 09 to November 01, 2026: World Press Photo Exposition 2026
    World Press Photo, recognized as the world's largest and most prestigious annual press photography competition, returns to La Pulperie. Exhibition presented as part of the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay. Produced by the World Press Photo Foundation. World Press Photo is supported by strategic partners, the Dutch Postcode Lottery and Fujifilm.
