Temporary exhibitions

  • Until June 07, 2026: Les joies de la vie en plein air : Contes d’artistes naïves québécoises
    Artists: Chantal Gingras, Jenny Hellers, Christine Genest, Sharon Mark and Danielle Corriveau.
    Whatever the season, Quebecers know how to enjoy the great outdoors thanks to a variety of joyful activities. Depicting these activities and the pleasure of the people who enjoy them, often including children, is one of the favorite challenges of Quebec painters. To demonstrate this, five female artists from different regions of the province have been invited to take part in this exhibition.
  • June 10 to September 13, 2026: L’art de Nérée De Grâce : La collection d’Édith Butler (The Art of Nérée De Grâce : Édith Butler Collection)
    Nérée De Grâce stands out as one of the most outstanding naïve painters in the Maritimes. This prolific Acadian painter, who died in Quebec City in 2002, was born in Shippagan, New Brunswick in 1920. After studying at the École des beaux-arts de Québec and a career as a commercial artist, he decided at the age of 57 to devote himself full-time to his painting. Through his canvases, he has sought to promote Acadia, collaborating with artists such as Édith Butler.
