Bonjour Québec collects only the information necessary to provide services and asks for your effective, free and informed consent for the intended uses. 

We collect the following information to identify you when you communicate with the Ministère du Tourisme:

• Your email address
• Your first and last name
• Your phone number

We also use cookies and similar technologies to monitor activity on our website and store some specific information. These technologies rely on tags and scripts to collect and monitor information in order to analyze and improve our service. 

When you visit Bonjour Québec for the first time, you will be able to give your consent for information to be shared between your computer, our web server and third-party Google Analytics and advertising servers. 

The information that will be shared includes:

• The type of browser, device and operating system you are using
• The date and time of your visit to the site

The information collected by Tourisme Québec with the consent of our users allows us to: 

• Send printed or digital documents to users

• Forward a request to tourism businesses or partners for them to answer

Service providers and subcontractors

All service providers or subcontractors who are not affiliated with the Ministère du Tourisme and need to use personal information held by the Ministère must sign a privacy agreement regarding the information and may only use it for the purposes consented to by the user.

Other individuals, if required by law 
In some circumstances, Quebec law may allow or require us to transmit your personal information to other parties (e.g., if a court requires it for a lawsuit).

We take all necessary precautions to ensure that all the personal information and data we collect remains confidential, pursuant to applicable privacy protection regulations set out in the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (CQLR, chapter A-2.1). Under this act, you have the right to access the information you provided and to request its rectification. 

If you submit personal information for publication, we will publish it as per the authorizations you grant us. 

We will retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies. Generally speaking, the Ministère will retain data only for as long as it is necessary to provide its services.
