You’ll want to hurry to have fun on our natural snow-capped mountains offering exciting winter activities!

Québec has over 70 ski centres for you to choose from. Our modern snowparks and the beauty of the St. Lawrence River below are sure to move you... from top to bottom. For true enthusiasts, many ski centres offer night skiing under the stars.

Seasons

Our ski centres are open December to mid-April. In the spring, you can sometimes ski in shorts and eat on the terrace in the sun.

Did you know?

Québec gets over 400 cm of snow each winter. It’s great because we love building snowmen!

Hit the runs!

  • Our abundance of natural snow makes backcountry skiing an exciting option. Some ski centres offer the chance to ski off-trail in the adjacent glades. With the proper guidance, you’ll be able to hit slopes in the heart of the wilderness. Transportation via snowmobile, snowcat or with climbing skins—it’s up to you!

  • Halfpipes, jumps and obstacles of every kind can be found at most of our ski centres, much to the delight of snowboarders! Québec is a regular host of international snowboarding competitions, so some hills even offer World Cup-calibre equipment.

  • We’re such ski enthusiasts, we don’t stop come nightfall! Of our ski resorts, 48 offer a total of 572 lit runs, making Québec the world’s largest lit ski area! What’s more, most of these runs are located less than an hour’s drive from Montréal, Québec City and Gatineau!

  • After a day on the slopes skiing or snowboarding, kick back and enjoy some après-ski! Many of Québec’s downhill ski centres are located in resort areas, so there’s no shortage of accommodations, restaurants, bars, events and activities!
