Coming together to celebrate... it’s what we do! We’re often in the streets expressing our joie de vivre, especially during public festivities. Some don costumes, others put on make-up, we walk in parades, we display our colours. Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (Quebec holiday on June 24), Canada Day (July 1), St. Patrick’s Day (March 17), and New Year’s Eve (December 31) are the perfect examples. Oh yes, we also party in the streets during our sidewalk sales!

In fact, Montréal Pride is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the entire French-speaking world.

These events are opportunities to immerse yourself in the local Indigenous cultures, where crafts, music, culinary experiences and activities take centre stage and encourages us to share in the experience.
