Food events and gourmet routes, as well as the designations of origin that guarantee their authenticity, highlight the products of Québec. From fruit and vegetables to the delicacies of the sea, from fine cheese to handcrafted beers, you will enjoy fresh, tasty and original food!

Gourmet places and circuits to discover 

Île d’Orléans 
This island along the St. Lawrence is deservedly known as the “Garden of Québec” and famed as an agritourism destination par excellence. Located a hop, a skip and a jump from Québec City, it offers a fertile soil for productions as abundant as they are diverse. Fruit and vegetables, honey, maple, meat, cheese and more are among the high-quality products that bear the Savoir-faire île d’Orléans certification (Île d’Orléans know-how). Cassis Monna et Filles, whose blackcurrant-based liqueurs have won many a recognition, house the must-see Économusée de la liquoristerie (liqueur-making Economuseum). In your discovery of the rich terroir and built heritage of Île d’Orléans, you will get a true feel for the traditional Québec countryside!

Îles de la Madeleine 
Le Bon Goût Frais des Îles de la Madeleine (The Great Fresh Taste of Îles de la Madeleine), a brand that gathers passionate producers, processors and restaurateurs, makes you salivate! And so do the gourmet events, including La Folle virée gourmande, which highlight the products of the sea. Among the specialities you should try in Madelinot country, a land recognized for its warm welcome and unique drawl: lobster, smoked herring and sea bass. The people of the archipelago also make raw milk cheese, chocolate, handcrafted beer and bagosse, a traditional beverage made with berries.

Charlevoix’s Flavour Trail 
This region, chockful of spectacular landscapes, is a true delight for both the eyes and the belly! Producers of venison, emu, lamb, pork and duck stand side by side with cheesemakers, bakers, chocolate-makers, microbrewers and cider-makers. And let’s not forget the other creators of handcrafted products, including the only tomato wine in the world! The chefs from here redefine the pleasures of the table by cooking with top-quality ingredients. Discover them along Charlevoix’s Flavour Trail, which will also take you to welcoming producers. Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route 
Who said you could not make wine in a Nordic country? With a favourable microclimate, winter-hardy varietals and the creativity of our winemakers we make wines, bubblies and ice wines in Brome-Missisquoi. On the Wine Route, you will discover more than twenty wineries operated by passionate artisans who will be more than happy to share their secrets with you! And you will understand why the Eastern Townships have become the cradle of winemaking in Québec.  

The county of Kamouraska boasts one of the densest concentrations of gourmet bounties per square mile in Québec! At every turn, you will find a bakery (unequalled for the quality of its bread!), a chocolate shop that offers an array of gelatos, a fishmonger, a tiny, but oh so charming salted herb shop, a cheesemaker and a microbrewery. And to make your gourmet jaunt even tastier, take the time to discover the town of Kamouraska, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Québec.
