This village is at the foot of a hill that resembles an Inuit boat, called an “umiaq.”

Umiujaq is surrounded by mountains and is best visited on foot. It’s home to Lac Wiyâshâkimî, Québec’s second-largest natural lake, whose diverse wildlife includes seals and belugas. The village also boasts a collection of traditional tools and objects, as well as archeological artifacts.
