Enjoy this four-day itinerary with the kids along portions of the Beauce Route and the Delights and Parks Route.

The region is known for its Navigator’s Route running along the river. This itinerary takes you into the back country along the Rivière Chaudière, and loops back up to the east. Agritourism, natural parks and attractions, camping, a zoo, alpacas... A bit of everything!

Day 1

From Scott to Sainte-Marie

Woodooliparc theme park

Add to my planner

Spend a morning or afternoon of wild fun in the different universes at the Woodooliparc theme park. In summer it features dinosaurs and illuminated paths at night.

Maison J.-A. Vachon, birthplace of Vachon cakes

Visit the Maison J.-A. Vachon, a jewel of Beauce industrial heritage, and learn the story of Rose-Anna, who baked her little cakes in her kitchen. Taste one for yourself at the end of the hour-long tour.

Le Verger à Ti-Paul Cidrerie Tarterie

Add to my planner

You’ll love the rustic patio at Le Verger à Ti-Paul, nestled in the heart of the Beauce valley. The orchard serves up tasty bistro fare, fresh cider and pies. The cats and alpacas that roam the site are sure to delight the kids. You can also pick your own fruit and buy a range of products at the shop.

Day 2

A day in the outdoors: zip lines and a picnic

Village Aventuria

Another theme park with loads of activities: Village Aventuria has 16 zip lines, five aerial courses, a race course, a dizzying path featuring a knight and a pirate boat... Let your imagination go wild!

Day 3

Lac-Etchemin to Saint-Philémon: fun in the parks

Éco-Parc des Etchemins

If you’ve spent the night at Lac-Etchemin campground, which boasts a water park, you’ll be torn between spending the day there or visiting the Éco-Parc water slides on the shores of the same lake. Or why not get up early and do both!

Parc du Massif du Sud

Add to my planner

You’ll arrive in this regional park in Saint-Philémon in the evening and will spend the night in the campground or ready-to-camp accommodations: cabins, boreal tents, prospector tents, yurt and pods—those fun, cone-shaped mini cabins.

Day 4

A day of tasty food and a stop at the zoo

Park and cheese factory

Enjoy Parc du Massif du Sud, where you can go hiking, mountain biking and geocaching—great fun for the whole family. Join the cheesemaker at the Cassis et Mélisse farm and try your hand at cheesemaking, and taste their delicious products.

Miller Zoo

The zoo in Frampton is also home to a wildlife rehabilitation centre and a petting zoo. Every family trip should include a zoo, right? It’s a great opportunity for the kids to learn about North American and exotic animal species.

Frampton Brasse – Beer making economuseum

Add to my planner

The last stop on the route is a little reward for the parents: a visit to the Frampton Brasse microbrewery. Families are welcome, and the view of the Appalachians is breathtaking. Enjoy a tasting, visit the production facilities, have a light snack or bring a family picnic.
