From De La Pocatière to Rivière-du-Loup

From Rivière-du-Loup to Rimouski

Parc de la Pointe

Walk the 2.5 km paved path by the ocean in Rivière-du-Loup and treat yourself to one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets. Listen to the “Histoire de la Pointe” podcast tour to learn all about the local history and legends.

The beautiful landscapes are the pride and joy of this park. Paddle a sea kayak around a breathtaking series of coves, bays and islands. Hike or bike the trails to see the incredible fauna and flora. Fall asleep peacefully in a tent, in a ready-to-camp unit or in a yurt.

Terfa – Canyon des Portes de l’Enfer

Not for the faint of heart! Walk the highest suspended footbridge in Québec (63 metres!) or take the 300 steps to the gates of hell. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

From Rimouski to Amqui

Île Saint-Barnabé

Hike the over 20 km of trails on this island—can you believe a hermit used to live here? See the harbour seals and the more than 72 species of birds. Feeling adventurous? Then rustic camping is the way to go.

From Amqui to New Richmond

Try Gaspésie’s first via ferrata! Take the 50-metre-long suspended footbridge, balance along the rock wall up to the top of the falls, and then fly 85 metres down the zipline. Pure adrenaline!

Musée acadien du Québec

If you are curious about the fascinating life of Québec’s Acadians, this museum is the place to be. It’s also a great place to take part in cultural activities that keep alive this rich cultural heritage.

Site historique national de Paspébiac

Tour 11 historic buildings, including the largest wooden fishery building in North America, and learn all about cod fishing in Gaspésie in the 19th century. Try a few traditional dishes and meet authentic Paspéyas.

The artifacts from archeological digs tell us a fascinating story of the role of Pabos under French rule. The site offers two multimedia experiences, as well as hiking trails, a bike path, three beaches and a campground.

From Percé to Gaspé

This national park, home to rocher Percé and Île Bonaventure, is North America’s largest migratory bird sanctuary, where you can view the most accessible Northern gannet colony in the world.

Day 7

From Gaspé to Sainte-Anne-des-Monts

Take a guided tour of a reconstructed 17th century village, including an interpretation centre, and learn about Mi’kmaq history, customs and culture. Swing by the shop, where you can admire some of the fine products from the community’s craftspeople.

Croisières Baie de Gaspé

After you’re done visiting Parc national Forillon, hop on a boat with a bilingual interpreter-guide and see if you can spot all six of the whale species in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. A fun-filled, information-packed experience!

From Matane to Rimouski

Destination Haute-Mer

Go fishing in the ocean with seasoned captains. Depending on the time of the year, you’ll reel in Atlantic cod, mackerel or striped bass. And if you’re extra lucky, you just might catch a glimpse of some marine mammals in the distance.

This little piece of heaven is sure to wow you with its historic gardens and their 3000 or so species of plants. Go to Villa Estevan for a meal of edible plants, stay for the fascinating story of the gardens’ founder. You’re not going to want to miss the International Garden Festival. Smells heavenly!

Visit this Economuseum® for a fascinating guided tour and learn all about how maple sap is turned into syrup and multiple-award-winning alcoholic beverages. Get a taste of the delicious products at the shop or on the patio.

This national park runs along Lac Témiscouata, the largest lake south of the St. Lawrence River. With so many archeological digs, wild animals, hiking trails, cycling paths and canoe and rabaska outings to choose from, you’ll get all the adventure you could possibly want!

Fort Ingall

Go back in time in this authentic reconstruction of a British fort as it stood in Témiscouata in 1839. Themed exhibits will teach you about the life of soldiers back in the day. Watch out for the daily cannon shots—you’re going to want to cover your ears!
