Getting to Québec

By plane

There are three major international airports in Québec:

Passengers arriving at Montréal-Trudeau can travel by shuttle to downtown Montréal, Ottawa (3 to 5 departures per day), Mont-Tremblant (from mid-December to mid-April and from mid-May to mid-October) and Québec City.

To find out which airlines fly to Québec (both direct flights and stopovers) as well as the cities served, visit Aéroports de Montréal online:

By boat

Sailors from overseas get to Québec via the Gulf of St. Lawrence. During sailing season, some 2,000 pleasure craft of every kind use the St. Lawrence Seaway. These vessels must measure at least 6 m (20 ft.) in length and weigh more than 900 kg (1,984 lbs.). Docks and berthing areas are reserved for their use.

International cruises

Québec, Montréal and Saguenay are favourite stopovers for the major cruise lines that sail the St. Lawrence from May through November. Nine ports of call in Québec welcome passengers who set off from Southampton or Dover to discover the mighty river.
