Québec has over 70 ski centres for you to choose from. Our modern snowparks and the beauty of the St. Lawrence River below are sure to move you... from top to bottom. For true enthusiasts, many ski centres offer night skiing under the stars.

Our ski centres are open December to mid-April. In the spring, you can sometimes ski in shorts and eat on the terrace in the sun.

  • If racing down snow-covered hills and mountains sounds like fun, downhill skiing is the perfect sport for you! Our numerous ski centres offer lessons, equipment rentals and slopes for all levels, which are accessible via ski lifts. Once you’ve mastered the technique, it’s like riding a bike—you never forget!

  • Our abundant natural snowfall allows for off-trail skiing in certain resorts. Hop on a ski lift or a catski to reach the summit while taking in the view. While you still have the energy, head to ungroomed trails in the woods, which you can race down in complete freedom, far from the crowds.

  • When practised without ski lifts, downhill skiing, telemark skiing, and splitboarding all fall into this adventure skiing category! Using the strength of your calves and the intense grip of your climbing skins, you’ll climb the mountain all the way to the summit. Surrounded by stunning scenery, you can catch your breath before descending into the heart of the wild natural environment you climbed up with effort and enthusiasm. What a reward!

  • If you’re looking to climb independently but prefer skiing down groomed slopes, you can try your hand at alpine touring. Equipped with the same gear used for backcountry skiing, you’ll enjoy a cardio workout as you climb to the top, then remove your climbing skins to ski down the groomed snow at certain ski resorts.

  • Nordic skiing is ideal for adventurers who prefer to cover long distances in snowy, hilly terrain. Equipped with cross-country skis that are wider and have a better grip than traditional models, you’ll tread along untouched powdery trails left in their natural state. It’s a unique way to connect with the tranquil wilderness in our Québec’s national parks and wildlife reserves.
