After the winter’s first heavy snowfall, we waste no time hitting the trails!

We just strap on our skis, snowshoes or crampons, and we’re off! Québec’s unique combination of lakes, mountains, rivers, hills and the St. Lawrence offers stunning Nordic landscapes. A number of shelters are available where you can rest or spend the night.

Seasons

We generally practise cross-country skiing, alpine trekking and snowshoeing from mid-December to mid-March, depending on Mother Nature, of course.

Skishoeing: A hybrid sport worth discovering!
Description

We’re always finding new ways to explore Québec’s snow-covered spaces. Skishoeing, also known as Hok skiing, is aptly named as it’s halfway between cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Equipped with synthetic skins for a good grip, the gear will give you the confidence to embark on a mini excursion. Climb the peaks of Québec’s awe-inspiring mountains before skiing down them using all your agility to master the telemark technique. It’s ideal for tackling backcountry trails!
