Sunscreen and ice cream... the perfect duo on hot summer days.

Did anyone say sand? We’ve got more than enough to build a second Windsor Castle! In Québec, over 125 beaches feature a range of activities: volleyball, canoeing, kayaking, catamaraning, pedalboating, windsurfing, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing and more. So slip on your swimsuit and flip-flops and you’ll be ready to build that castle.

Seasons

June to September is the season for swimming outdoors and building sandcastles. In the winter, we find indoor heated pools more inviting.

At low tide, you can swim in the caves in Îles-de-la-Madeleine.

Water quality

  • It shows that we closely monitor the quality of our bathing water. Each summer, a government body analyzes the water at our 125 public beaches throughout Québec.
